Start from the middle of April till the beginning of May is the season for fireflies. To my surprise, this is the first time that someone told me you can see them at Huashan (華山). Due to my curiosity, I finally have time to take a look at these beautiful creatures.
Unlike watching a meteor shower in an uncertain time, the best timing to see fireflies is about 6 to 8pm around sunset. During this period of time, the light is not too bright but also not too dark that you could not see the road. Many people seemed to know this attraction and came here with their digital cameras to capture the magnificent scene.
This is my first time to see fireflies with
my own eyes and the touching feeling is beyond description. Thanks to this
wonderful environment which provides a clean and safe place for them to survive
and avoid them from extinction. Though April is a super busy week for the
student association, this short moment of rest fill up my tiredness and give me
energy to move on.
