Twelve Nights

A month ago, I saw a movie called "Twelve Nights." At first, I was moved by the speech which Giddens (九把刀), a famous writer, and the director, Raye made.

This movie is a documentary about those stray dogs that have been caught to temporary shelter waiting for people to adopt them or else they will be injected in euthanasia. I think the purpose of this movie is to awaken people's consciousness that how serious these problems can go on. It will not be solved simply by catching them and sending them to death. Many people can't even step into the theater to watch the movie because they are afraid of emotionally breakdown. However, this wasn't the main purpose the director wanted. She wants everyone to see the fact that are happening through our daily lives, and to correct those misunderstandings about stray dogs.

To be honest, I thought I would cry when I saw the movie. Out of my surprise, the only feeling I felt was deeply heartburn. To know is one thing but to see is another. You wouldn't believe how cruel people can be until you see the movie.

Nevertheless, after the movie spread out, people gain awareness of stray dogs and the rate of adopt also grow a lot. It is a relief to know that more dogs have been saved from death and I hope people can love them once they own a pet!

(This is my lovely pet dog with me!!! Her name is Wei-Wei薇薇 which is named by my father.
She is almost seven years old now, and she was only two months old when she first came to my home.)

  2. It's really sad to know lots of people did terrible things to dogs. Furthermore, we should encourage more people to adopt dogs rather than to buy them.
